When the input data stream has been prepared in
conformance with the specifications and recommendations outlined in Chapter 2, and the
task configured as described in Chapter 3, the user is ready to execute the triangulation
task. This chapter will discuss this execution task in three phases: a verification phase,
a re-ordering phase and the formal triangulation. As indicated in the discussion in
Section 1.1, triangulation tends to be an iterative process. Commonly, early iterations
are made with the support of full diagnostic capabilities to enable data verification and
data editing, followed by a final iteration with output suitably configured to deliver the
desired output listing and files. |
