4.4 Post-Adjustment Use of the Intersection Option
As described in Section 4.1.4, the fundamental principle of photogrammetry is the relationship between image space and object space. After the completion of a successful triangulation adjustment, this relationship is very well known. It therefore becomes possible to use GIANT, in its intersection mode, as an engine to generate object space coordinates from image space measurements. Simply construct one or more valid image files containing the points to be transformed. Review Section 4.1.4 for the complete discussion of running GIANT in intersection mode.
